Zaara, Solhah Singaarr, Main Aisi… to go off air

Don't blame the Indian Premier League, the axe was hanging dangerously on three shows of Sahara One anyway. Well, the time's finally up for Zaara, Solhah Singaarr and Main Aisi Kyun Hoon. The three shows will wind up at the end of this month. When contacted Sahara One Programming Head Kalyan Sundaram said, "There are a few shows which are under the gun but I can only comment on their fate after a week."

Don't blame the Indian Premier League, the axe was hanging dangerously on three shows of Sahara One anyway. Well, the time's finally up for Zaara, Solhah Singaarr and Main Aisi Kyun Hoon. The three shows will wind up at the end of this month. When contacted Sahara One Programming Head Kalyan Sundaram said, "There are a few shows which are under the gun but I can only comment on their fate after a week." While Kalyan remained tight-lipped, we spoke to an actor from each of these shows and they've confirmed the news to us. Expectedly, the three of them didn't wish to be named. An actor from Zaara says, "We've been asked to shoot for 27 episodes in 15 days. I guess the show will wind up in this month." "The final shoot is scheduled for 22nd May," says an actor from Solhah Singaarr. "I reckon the show will go off air on 30th May." A prominent face in Main Aisi Kyun Hoon says, "There is no denying that the show is going off air. However, I'd like to believe that our show is coming to its logical end. I suppose, 20th May could be the last day of our shoot." While it's not clear which shows will replace the two, a source tells us that Zaara is likely to be replaced by Mata Ki Chowki.
