MUMBAI: Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) are gearing up to face Delhi Capitals (DC) in the 24th match of IPL 2025, scheduled for April 10 (Thursday) at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru. While RCB has excelled on the road with three away wins, they are yet to register a victory at home. Ahead of this high-stakes encounter, RCB’s wicketkeeper-batter Jitesh Sharma made bold remarks during a pre-match press conference, highlighting what he sees as a key vulnerability in the Delhi squad.

Jitesh claimed that RCB holds the advantage, having triumphed in challenging away matches where contributions have come from across the batting order. In contrast, he believes DC is heavily dependent on just three players. “We’ve won tough matches away from home, and all our batters have played their parts. But DC depends on only a few players, which gives us an edge,” he noted.
He also shed light on RCB’s strategic approach, emphasizing smart cricket over blind aggression. “We’ve been given defined roles — each batter targets specific bowlers rather than attacking recklessly. It’s all about execution,” Jitesh explained.
RCB’s campaign so far includes wins over KKR, CSK, and MI, placing them third on the points table with six points, despite a lone home loss to Gujarat Titans.
