Previously, there were many rumours making the rounds, claiming that this might be MS Dhoni’s last season of IPL and that he might retire after this. Surely the posts got a lot of attention from cricket fans but there was no confirmation as yet.
Now, Thala has spoken and it’s all the fans should know. MS Dhoni put all rumors to rest at Raj Shamani’s podcast, saying, “I am still playing the IPL and one year at a time. I am 43, by the end of this IPL season, I will be 44 in July. So I have 10 months to decide whether I want to play one more year and it's not me deciding; it's my body, whether you can play or not,”
When it comes to his recent performances, Dhoni has struggled to provide a strong finish in any of his innings so far. In the clash against Delhi Capitals, he managed a modest 30 off 26 deliveries, as Chennai Super Kings fell to a hefty 50-run defeat. With just one victory in their opening four matches, CSK will need to make significant adjustments if they hope to secure a spot in the top four this season.
