2014: TV Face of the Year (Male)

2014: TV Face of the Year (Male)

These faces have made us cry and laugh. They have been our favourite pastime and prime time companions. End of a year also calls for celebration. So, here's continuing the tradition by drumming up a list of this year's best male actors. Take a look:

Rajat Tokas:

As the majestic Akbar in Jodha Akbar (Zee TV), Tokas has definitely cemented his place among the audiences. We love his prime and proper stance, amazing dialogue delivery and his dedicated acting chops. Keep up the good work!

Karan Patel:

He has always been one of the most sought after actors on TV, thanks to his film background. As the strict and 'khadoos' Raman, he has taken his reputation to another level altogether in Yeh Hai Mohabbatein (Star Plus).

Harshad Arora:

He is a looker, no doubt about that. But what's really interesting is that he can act. And damn well too. Haven't you watched him in the popular show Beintehaa (Colors)? Didn't you instantly become his fan? Yes, we did too.

Shabbir Ahluwalia:

He has had the fortune of being part of some wonderful soaps. With his strapping personality and acting skills, the star has made a solid name for himself in the industry. It's no wonder that many girls wept buckets when he got married to his long-time girlfriend. He is a gem in the Zee TV show Kumkum Bhagya.

Gautam Rode:

His career took a turn for the better when he was cast in Star Plus’ lavish drama Saraswatichandra. He not only became a household name, but also a major heartthrob of the ladies.

Iqbal Khan:

Better known by his screen name 'Angad', this dashing actor has had a successful stint on the small screen. He might not have had it smooth in Bollywood, but he has more than made up for it on TV with powerful lead roles. This year in Life OK’s Tumhari Paakhi, he wowed and how.

Ashish Sharma:

Women swoon over him. You already know that, right? Men are jealous of him. You're aware of this too, we are sure. But did you know that he has clueless about all this adulation and that's what makes his irresistibly good. He won hearts in Rangrasiya (Colors) and Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa.

Shaheer Sheikh:

The new Mahabharat on TV (Star Plus) was super successful. And its 'Arjun' aka Shaheer definitely became the talking point. His neat acting and crisp dialogue delivery made him stand apart from the rest of the cast.

Saurabh Raaj Jain:

He has played divine character for so long, he should get a free pass to heaven! The Lord Vishnu of Indian TV is a dedicated and hardworking actor and we would definitely love to see him in 'normal' roles soon. He finds a place here for his poignant portrayal of Krishna in Star Plus’ Mahabharat.

Nakuul Mehta:

Like most stars on TV, he started off with a failed attempt on the big screen. But his move to television has been a great one as he has wowed us all with his light eyes and charming personality. He is a heartthrob now, thanks to Star Plus’ Pyaar Ka Daard Hain Meetha Meetha Pyaara Pyaara.

Vivian Dsena:

Even though the hugely popular show Madhubala (Colors) was about the female lead, this handsome actor also garnered much appreciation. Be it his stylish attitude, his chemistry with co-star Drashti Dhami or simply his screen presence, he has come out on top in all the departments.

Mohit Raina:

If audiences worship a screen God in real life, isn't he super famous? Yes, we are talking about Mohit Raina whose Shiva act in Life OK’s Mahadev has had many devotees confusing the reel for the real. Ouch!

Dilip Joshi:

No other middle-aged actor has enjoyed such popularity as Jethalal. From his everyday issues to his unique dressing style, Joshi has made a name for himself in SAB TV’s Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah.

Anas Rashid:

He won awards and adulation for his role in Diya Aur Bhaati Hum (Star Plus), and rightly so! The singer-actor has proved time and again that he is a dependable actor who can perform just about any scene.
