MUMBAI:  Akanksha Pandey plays the role of Pornika in The Elephant In The Room, produced by Aartie Miranni’s Alter EgoEntertainment. The actor shares liking the concept of the film and that the script resonated with her on a profound level.

“The character's journey and the story's message spoke to my heart. Additionally, the opportunity to challenge myself as an actress and contribute to such a meaningful project was truly irresistible,” she says. The film, according to her, beautifully captures the essence of addressing uncomfortable truths that people often avoid discussing. “Through its compelling narrative and thought-provoking storytelling, the film encourages audiences to confront difficult situations, fostering a sense of catharsis and growth,” she explains.

The elephant god, Lord Ganesha, symbolizes wisdom, intellect, and new beginnings. “While I respect and appreciate the cultural significance of Lord Ganesha, my personal connection is more about embracing the values he represents in my life's journey. I do have a Ganesha idol at home. We start any festival or important event with his blessing first. It's a source of positive energy and inspiration, reminding me to approach challenges with wisdom and determination,” she adds.

Akanksha shares that making the film has been a memorable experience. “There are countless memorable moments from the shoot, but one that stands out is when the entire crew came together to tackle a challenging scene. The camaraderie and dedication displayed by everyone, coupled with a sense of unity, made it an unforgettable experience. Also I loved the food on set,” she laughs softly.

Talking about working with the producer of the project Aartie Miranni for the first time, she says, “It has been an absolute pleasure. Her vision, dedication, and creative insights greatly contributed to the film's success. Her collaborative spirit and commitment to bringing out the best in everyone on set fostered an environment of mutual respect and excellence.”

The short film is streaming on Humaramovie YouTube Channel from 19th September. It is directed by Krishan Hooda, Presented by Alter Ego Entertainment, produced by  Aartie Miranni & Prakash Moolani and the Dialogue and Screenplay is by Neeltarni Pratap.
