MUMBAI: Sharad Kelkar voiced for mighty Raavan in Legends Of Hanuman and for SS Rajamouli's Baahubali: The Beginning back in 2015, and also gave voice for Amarendra and Mahendra Baahubali in Baahubali: The Conclusion. Now, the actor has again voiced for Rajamouli's animated series Baahubali: Crown Of Blood. During an exclusive interview with TellyChakkar, he revealed the difficulties he had faced voicing Baahubali and for Raavan's character.
The star revealed, "Baahubali I dubbed before so I knew the characteristics, understood the voice, texture quality from before. With Raavan, I had to imagine everything on my own as there are different representations of Raavan and I can't go with one of them. All the actors who played Raavan were brilliant in that but the only issue I had was- what new I could create and put nuances, from my side as an actor. I was given the liberty to present Raavan the way I wanted to. It was a combined thought and effort that people should understand Raavan, and who he was. If you see all the seasons, you will see a different Raavan. In this new series, it is about Hanuman fighting with Kumbhkaran and Raavan's sons. That war is a big.. bahut bada jhatka hai Ravan ke liye. You will see a different Raavan in this season. Wok ek alag shade hai".
The actor further revealed about his state of mind as he played Prabhas' mightiest character Baahubali, again after 9 years. He said, " I will not deny the feeling was I am playing Baahubali while dubbing. The film translated into dubbing and it was no lesser than playing the hero of the film".
