MUMBAI: Taha Shah Badussha was recently seen in a sweet story about love titled Aisa Waisa Pyaar which is streaming on Eros Now. The project was released around Diwali and the actor couldn’t be happier. “This is the first time I had a release around Diwali, so I was very happy that it came around such an auspicious day. I feel blessed,” he says.

Ask him about his experience of working on the series helmed by Ashiish Patil and Taha says, “It felt like family. I have known Ashiish sir for a decade so it was like going back home. The subject was refreshing and Ashiish sir has a knack of understanding the youth and what they want, so it was a fantastic experience.”

In the series, Taha’s story is opposite Adah Sharma and he is all praise for his co-star. “Adah is super sweet and I have known her for eight years. We always used to discuss working together and it finally happened here. We shot for three days together. Both of us are in martial arts so we connected on that. I hadn’t met her in the last two-three years, so working on the film made us better friends,” he insists.

The whole series is about love, so ask Taha what does love mean to him in real life and he responds, “For me, love is very confusing. I have always had a very different understanding of love. I believe that the only true love is what a parent has towards their child. Besides that, love keeps changing as you keep evolving and face heartbreaks. For me, love is innocence, a place where you can share your space with someone else without feeling any intrusion. If you share that comfort level, that is what is love for me.”

So, going by the series’ title Aisa Waisa Pyaar, what kind of love has come into his life until now? “Ajeebo-gareeb aaye hain, bahuton ne dil toda bhi hai,” he chuckles, adding that he feels it’s important to fall in love and get your heart broken, “Because without the latter you will never understand the true meaning of love.”

Taha goes on to share, “The first time I fell in love I was in class 11 or 12 and I used to be like someone who felt love is about being a hero, saving the other person and all those filmy thoughts. Although you evolve after heartbreaks and then comes a phase where you believe that there is nothing called love. it’s all time-pass.”

But seeing his brother and his wife being together for 12 years brings back his faith in love. “They are really very happy and I rarely find any couple out there from the younger generation who have been together for this long, so their relationship makes me believe that maybe this is what love is,” Taha concludes.
