Tellychakkar got in touch with the actor where he talked about his upcoming short film, what makes it unique and much more.

How excited are you for your film Phone Call?

I’m very excited for Phone Call because it’s finally releasing. It’s been a while since we had shot for it and I had no idea where this was going. Also, it’s releasing with such great short films of other actors and other directors who have been working for so long. There’s a short film of Rajat sir and Sheeba Ma’am. So to be amongst them in the top-20, it feels very nice.

What do you feel is the USP of this film?

Anyone watching this film with their mother, their father or their family would really think that they are not the only ones who are trying to make other people evolve around them. So change is a constant and it’s going to keep happening in our lives. There’s no point in denying it. So it’s keeping up with time which I think everyone will take out from this. Who better than kids to help your parents with that? According to me, the USP is that you have to be independent and learning should never stop. You should always gain something with the experience and not fear it.

What is it that you look for when you want to say yes to any project or character?

It’s primarily based on the script. I have to enjoy the script and the story a lot because if I don’t enjoy the movie by the end of it, then it’s not worth it for me. So I really need to be entertained, mesmerized or feel like wanting to be a part of the story. That is something I'm primarily interested in a lot. Secondly, it’s the character as in, who I have to play, how much can I contribute to the project now. So these are the 2 parameters that I look at.

Tell us about your upcoming projects?

So there are talks going on. I can’t say anything about it or it won’t happen. So right now I am not allowed to say anything about it. I just hope I can tell you all about it soon, for sure.
