MUMBAI: TellyChakkar is always at the forefront of bringing important and exclusive news to you.
From the iconic stables of Royal Enfield comes yet another mean machine - the Hunter 350. Voot Studio and Royal Enfield have come together to embark on a creative journey, a three-part interactive web series - The Vibe Hunters. It is a new-age interactive show.
Three artists representing the subculture of today’s youth- a rapper, a graffiti artist, and a freestyle dancer go missing on the same night. The common link is Vicky, a 19-year-old creator who happens to feature on the last social media posts of the three artists. What starts as a routine police inquiry takes a witty turn as the plot thickens.
The show stars Rapper Void in a new avatar. Gaurav Mankoti is an Indian rapper and is famous for his stage name 'Void'. He originally belongs to Almora (Uttarakhand). Gaurav Mankoti started his career with the television show “India's Got Talent”.
TellyChakkar caught up with Rapper Void to talk about the show and what the fans should expect.
What according to you is that X-factor of your specific character and how does it affect the narrative of the story?
I am playing Void in the show, like a version of Void and his superskills are rapping and dancing in the show. And music plays a very important part in the show, and you will get to know that when you watch the show and the music that he is creating, it really plays out.
How did you prepare for the show and to play these characters and any particular inspiration that you took?
I guess I have been preparing all my life for this role but I am just kidding. I play a version of Void in the show, the most part of acting was just that, it was pretty easy for me and we had great actors on set, so I had a good time.
How would you describe the experience of shooting for the show?
I had done a show with Voot before, called Hustle, but this is my first professional acting experience. Before this, I have been acting but that has been for my music videos, but this was the first of its kind and I learnt a lot and I will definitely look forward to these kinds of projects more.
Soaked in suspense and shaded in black humor- The Vibe Hunters is a cultural and aesthetic sign of the times we live in.
Viewers will be treated to an interactive experience on Voot's YouTube channel, where the audience gets to step into the protagonist's shoes by selecting what Vicky will do next at key moments in the show.
The Interactive film is slated to release on Voot and MTV's YouTube channel, followed by a binge drop OTT launch on Voot.
