MUMBAI: Actress Sanya Malhotra in this exclusive interview talks about her upcoming film Love Hostel. The actress speaks about her experience of working with Bobby Deol and Vikrant Massey. She then speaks about the character which she wishes to play on screen and has she ever fallen in love madly as her character in the film.
How was your experience of working with Bobby Deol and Vikrant Massey?
I was blown away when I came to know Bobby Deol is playing Dagar. As a fan, I never knew he is so tall. I really admire him that he is so connected not only with his character but also with the entire team. He used to be on the sets most of the time even if he is not shooting. So for me, it was motivating to see such an experienced actor being so involved in the film.
Talking about Vikrant, he is such a nice person. I was really impressed by his acting. When I met him on day one, we shot some very serious scenes, and I thought it was going out so smoothly. We talked about the character and how to do the scenes and all. So for me, he made my work so easy that I only have to follow his instructions and do the same things.
A character you want to perform on the screen
I really want to do a crime thriller, and Love Hostel came into my life. Right now I am seeking to do a very light-hearted comedy film where I can be myself because I think I have a funny side to me as well.
Have you ever fallen in love like your character has in Love Hostel?
Not yet. I wish I would have but I have never done anything crazy in love. I am a very simple girl, I can never do anything crazy like my character in Love Hostel. In fact, there is no one who has ever done anything crazy for me in love. But I would love to do something like this because my Pandit has told my family that I will run away and get married.
