Exclusive! "My father always said no for Bollywood but I wanted to become a Bollywood actor" - actor Raju Upadhyay on the challenging phase of his life

Actor Raju Upadhyay who is known for his movie Junction Varanasi is now all set for his digital debut with his upcoming project. He spoke to TellyChakkar exclusively with regards to his acting journey where he also spoke in detail about the most challenging phase of his life.

MUMBAI : Actor Raju Upadhyay is known for his acting contribution and projects like Divyashakti and the movie Junction Varanasi. No doubt the actor always tries to deliver something different with his acting.

TellyChakkar got an exclusive chance to speak with the actor with regards to his acting journey, where he also spoke in detail about the types of characters he looks forward to doing on digital platforms.

Raju Upadhyay on his acting journey

The actor revealed that since childhood he always wanted to become an actor, the actor was six years of age when he started doing theatre. The actor has done theatre for 10 long years. Raju Upadhaya says acting is in his blood as his father and brother were also into acting. With the increasing love and passion for acting, the actor wanted to make it big in the acting world. The actor came to Mumbai from his hometown Bihar to fulfill his dream to become an actor, and since his debut project, there was no looking back for him.

Raju Upadhyay on the most challenging phase of his life

Raju Upadhyay says that since childhood he was into acting, his father loved that he was doing theatre but he was against him going to Mumbai and performing in Bollywood movies. The actor wanted to go to Mumbai and make it big in the Bollywood industry but his father was always against this. The actor somehow managed to come to Mumbai but he had to stay away from his family for four years. This duration was very difficult and challenging for him.

Raju Upadhyay on types of characters he looks forward to doing on digital platform

With the rise in consumption of content, we can see some amazing projects coming on digital platforms. Having said that the actor wishes to play some different and challenging characters on digital platforms. The actor says that he is looking for such characters where he is not at all looking in his real avatar and the audience recognizes him with his characters’ name, he is looking forward to doing some challenging characters on digital platforms.
