Is A Family Feud Brewing Between Anshula and Maheep Kapoor in Prime Video’s The Traitors

Anshula and Maheep Kapoor

MUMBAI: Could a reality show cause trust issues between family members with relationships running so deep that their ties are at risk, reaching a point of no return due to betrayal? As seen in the high-voltage trailer of Prime Video’s upcoming reality series The Traitors, hosted by Karan Johar, it might just be setting the stage for a real-life family showdown.

One particular moment has the industry and social media buzzing: Did Anshula Kapoor just take a direct dig at her Chachi, Maheep Kapoor, with the sharp line, “Aapka koi saga nahi hai, aapko sab thugne aaye hain”? The gloves seem to be off, and if this trailer is anything to go by, no one—not even family ties—looks safe in this twisted game of trust, deceit, and betrayal.

But that’s just the beginning. The trailer is teeming with fiery face-offs and savage zingers as 20 celebrities—including Apoorva, Ashish Vidyarthi, Elnaaz Nourouzi, Harsh Gujral, Jannat Zubair, Jasmine Bhasin, Karan Kundrra, Lakshmi Manchu, Mukesh Chhabra, Nikita Luther, Purav Jha, Raftaar, Raj Kundra, Sahil Salathia, Sudhanshu Pandey, Sufi Motiwala, and Uorfi Javed—face off in the ultimate test of trust and betrayal!

Tempers flare as accusations fly— Apoorva takes a jibe  at Uorfi: “Respect can’t be demanded.” Uorfi claps back, Raftaar claims to not give a #$%* about anyone, while Jannat directs her accusatory question towards another Player, and the drama escalates when Sufi threatens a fashion takedown: “I’ll talk about your horrible clothes on the internet!”

A psychological reality series like no other, The Traitors is where alliances crumble, secrets detonate, and betrayals blindside the most unsuspecting. Hosted by the ever-sassy Karan Johar and produced by BBC Studios India Productions in collaboration with All3Media International, the Indian adaptation of the BAFTA and Emmy-winning format premieres on June 12 on Prime Video.

So brace yourselves for a war zone where even blood ties can't be trusted.

Rise and Shine, It’s Dhokha Time!
