MUMBAI: Kajol, in a new promotional video for her latest show The Trial, is seen solving “crimes in the name of love” as she took some fan questions about issues in their relationship and offered solutions for them.
In the video, Kajol starts by saying how she’s playing a lawyer in the show, but has turned a judge as she takes questions about the trials people face in their relationships. “I love to judge people,” she jokes as she starts taking the questions.
The actor also shared experiences from her personal life, marriage with Ajay Devgn and two of her most popular films, Kuch Kuch Hota Hai and Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jaayenge with Shah Rukh Khan.
One question read, “My girlfriend takes pictures of food before eating, should I confront her?” Kajol replied, “Sure, confront her and then prepare to eat alone for the rest of your life.”
The next question had Kajol confused about the new-gen love lingo as she was asked about how to turn a “situationship” to a relationship. The question was, “I am in a situationship with this person, how do I turn it into a relationship?” A surprised Kajol asked the meaning of situationship, and said, “But if you have to call a romantic moment a situationship, then your boat has already sunk.” Situationship means a romantic or sexual relationship that is not considered to be formal or established.
The next question had Kajol chuckling a little because it read, “My wife never accepts that she is wrong, how do I change it?” Wondering if this particular questions was sent by her husband, actor Ajay Devgn, Kajol asks,“Maybe she never is wrong, have you thought about that?”
Kajol then shared a relationship advice on the lines of her 1998 film Kuch Kuch Hota Hai with Shah Rukh Khan where his character Rahul was unaware that he loved his best friend Anjali (played by Kajol) and fell in love with Tina (played by Rani Mukerji) and ultimately returning to his original love Anjali.
The question was, “I have feelings for my best friend and my crush. What should I do?” To this Kajol replied, “This will land you in trouble. Do whatever you have to do but never rehearse I love you with your best friend, trust me that’s my experience."
