MUMBAI:  Hussain Dalal and Ahsaas Channa starrer Salesman Of The Year has started streaming today on MX Player. The web series revolves around a guy from Hyderabad trying to make it big in the corporate world in Delhi.

TellyChakkar recently interacted with Hussain and spoke to him about the web series, his experience of working with Ahsaas, and more…

What made you say yes to Salesman Of The Year?

Purely the script! The moment I read the script, I said I want to do it. I was ecstatic and I was like ‘yeh toh mujhe karna hie hai’. So, it was all on paper, it was just the script.

In the trailer, we can see you speaking in a Hyderabadi accent. Was it difficult to get the accent right as sometimes people troll actors for their accents?

When the show will start streaming then we will come to know if the trolling will happen or if people will praise it. I have tried my best with whatever I understood. According to me, the Hyderabadi accent is similar to the Bombaiya accent. So, I made my base from there and then explored the Hyderabadi accent. It’s like a tweaked Bombaiya accent.
 

How was your experience of working with Ahsaas?

Amazing! I have never worked with her before. She is a very seasoned actor, and she has been doing this for a while. The whole bunch of actors is amazing, so I enjoyed working with them, and it was very smooth.
