MUMBAI: Actor Khushboo Kamal, is best known for her role in producers Sanjay Kohli and Binaiferr Kohli’s shows Bhabhiji Ghar Par Hai, Jijaji Chhat Par Hai and film Ankur Arora Murder Case. While currently, her short film Zoya is trending on Disney + Hotstar, she has now opened doors to OTT platform, something, which she wasn’t ok with earlier.
“I am in talks for some new projects on the webspace but I can’t talk about it. Earlier I was not ready to work in web series, because it demands a lot of skin show and bold scenes. But since it is coming up again and again and OTT has really helped and brightened up the careers of actors, I have now mentally prepared myself. It’s a good medium. Because of OTT, lots of new things are coming up and creatively people are not bound by anything. Creative people are exploring and at the same time it is a good way for actors to also explore themselves through different categories and projects,” shares the actor.
Khushboo is thrilled with the kind of response her short film Zoya is getting. Produced by Amarjeet Bangia and Prabhat Sachdev and directed by Prabhat Sachdev, the short film explores the life of a woman, who is happily married. However, after many years of their marriage, her husband falls in love with someone else. The whole situation ends with Zoya, played by Khushboo, in the middle of a murder. “The response is unbelievable. I am so thankful to the audience for their love. It is being watched by so many people right now. It is right now streaming in two categories, one is ‘Trending in New’ and ‘Popular films’ and is stepping up every day,” shares Khushboo.
