MUMBAI: One never knows when destiny turns tables in favour of an aspiring actor. The only thing the person needs to keep doing is working hard and being determined that one fine day, he or she will make it big in the industry.
And this was no less of Barcelona-based Indian actor Ajay Jethi, who played a Pakistan-based hacker in Spanish drama Money Heist.
But before Money Heist happened to him, Ajay had to face some struggles. Even though he wanted to become an actor, his father wasn't supportive of it and sent him to Spain in 2005. According to reports, he then started off as a construction labourer on a work visa and took Spanish and acting lessons. He did quite a few small roles in films, ads and web series. The show was pure coincidence for him. He shot his scenes in Madrid without meeting with the rest of the cast, until the release he thought that his role won't make the final cut.
In an interaction with a media portal, Ajay mentioned that he got know about the global popularity of the Netflix show when people started following and messaging him on social media.
Ajay also mentioned that his life has taken a complete turn after the fourth season of the show dropped on April 4 with people reaching out to him but the most special call was from his father, who was initially against his acting career.
After the success of the webseries, Ajay stated that he is keen to acting in Hindi movies as well.
