MUMBAI: The residents of Metro Junction and Dhobi Talao in Mumbai were shocked when they recently heard a series of gunshots being fired late in the night. Finding places to hide while contemplating what happened, residents realized that the shots were dummy bullets being fired for the recent web series being directed nearby.
Nikkhil Advani's web series is another take at the 26/11 massacre and the heinous crimes committed on the unfateful day. The series starring Konkana Sen Sharma, Mohit Raina, and Satyajeet Dubey in lead roles had a minor dispute after claiming to have all the necessary permissions to shoot for two days while the local jurisdiction made only the shooting work permissible and nothing about loud noises, in turn creating discomfort for the locals.
Further details throwing light at the incident, an officer from the Chitrapat Shakha of Mumbai police was quoted saying to Mid-Day, 'We have granted them permission only for acting and not to create any noise or for any gunshots. They have permission for film shooting from 9 pm to 6 am for two days.'
A youngster present at the scene mentioned that even though the bullets were dummies, they sounded like real gunshots. Afterwards, people in police uniforms were seen collecting things from the ground after the shots. The scene being shot was one where Kasab and his associate were fleeing the scene from Coma Hospital after killing police officers.
