MUMBAI: Kaam Chalu Hai OTT Release: Writer, director, and songwriter Pallash Muchaal has been seen in an exclusive interview with Tellychakkar, opening up about his new film. From revealing his work experience with Rajpal Yadav and Gia Manek, the director gets candid and shares his insights on this latest release.

What inspired you to adapt a real-life incident into the storyline of Kaam Chalu Hai, and how did you approach balancing the factual elements with creative storytelling?

The constant shift in audience demands and the ongoing competition among filmmakers to achieve certain box office milestones have led me to contemplate the simplicity of filmmaking. By addressing mundane yet prevalent topics such as potholes, which we often overlook as a part of daily life, I began to question why we tolerate and accept such subpar conditions. Upon conducting research, I discovered the potentially fatal consequences of these neglected hazards and realized the importance of raising awareness about such seemingly minor issues.

In what ways did the real-life incident influence your directorial decisions, such as casting, location choices, or narrative pacing, to stay true to the source material while creating a compelling cinematic experience?

'll break down this question into parts:
Firstly, I've always tried to be a people's person. At times, we don't realize that these little things that we often neglect in our day-to-day lives can actually create a huge impact. That's when I decided that this is a topic we need to bring into the limelight for people's awareness. Hence, we put it on Zee5 for free so that everyone can watch this film and realize what a small neglect is making such a big impact in people's lives, especially Manoj's.
Secondly, we have so many underused or typecast actors in both our movie and TV industries. Rather than using faces that people would predict, why not use faces that they never thought could pull off a character like that?
Lastly, the person whom the story is based on is from Sangli, hence the location.

Have you met the real life person on whom this movie is based or inspired by? Tell us more about that

Yes, I have met the real life person his name is Manoj Patil, he is extremely calm and a very nice person when you interact with him you will come to know about all the hardships that he has gone through via the movie.

You collaborated with Rajpal Yadav in Ardh and now again in Kaam Chalu Hai. Tell us as to why he was your first choice again for this role and about your working equation with him.

It has always been a treat to work with Rajpal sir. Ardh was my directorial debut and was in a way experimental for both of us. Now that we have a great working equation, why not go ahead with one more movie. Seeing his acting range, I’m sure audience will have nothing to complain about.
