Ram Singh Charlie review: Kumud Mishra will leave a smile on your face

Sony Liv’s Ram Singh Charlie has premiered, and here is the full review of the movie.

MUMBAI : Sony Liv has been serving us interesting content for a while now. The platform has given us movies like Kadakh and web series like Avrodh and Your Honor. Now, the platform is back with something different to offer to the audiences. The film, called Ram Singh Charlie, has talented cast like Divya Dutta, Kumud Mishra, and Farrukh Seyer and is directed by Nitin Kakkar.

Well, the story starts with a supremely talented man named Ram Singh, played by Kumud Mishra, who is the biggest fan of Charlie Chaplin. He mimics Charlie like no one else does, and that is why he is called Ram Singh Charlie. He has given his entire life to the circus, and now, owing to some circumstances, it has been shut. Charlie faces some major problems in life.

He has to bounce back and fight with life to fulfill his dream of opening the circus again. In this journey, his wife Kajri, played by Divya Dutta, lends him full support and motivates him at all levels.

The screenplay of the movie is decent and manages to hold your attention, but a few scenes were not required. The direction is excellent, and the emotions of the characters, mainly Charlie, are captured well.

Acting wise, the only name that grabs all your attention is Kumud Mishra, who is the life of the film and puts his heart and soul into it. The hard work and the dedication of the actor is evident in every frame, and this is one of his best performances. On the other hand, Divya Dutta as the supporting wife of Ram Singh Charlie is decent but we have seen Divya performing much better before and she has nothing much to offer here this time. The other cast like Farrukh Seyer, Syrendra Rajan, and Rohit Rokhade were average in their parts.

The positives are the acting of the leads and mainly Kumud Mishra as Charlie. The screenplay also works in favour of the film.

The negatives are the average storytelling and the end of the movie, which looked a little abrupt. The other actors did not get enough screen space to prove themselves.

Overall, Ram Singh Charlie is a decent watch and can be seen with your family. The performance of Kumud Mishra will surely bring a smile on your face and will make you fall in love with his character.

Team TellyChakkar goes with 3 stars for Ram Singh Charlie.
