The Boys soars high with an exciting Gen V crossover in Episode 5

MUMBAI: The Boys season four on Prime Video has been committed to take things to a whole new level in the brand new season, with the madness, gore and bloodshed dialed up a notch. Fans around the world are raving about Season 4, calling it some of the show's best work yet, particularly praising Antony Starr's chilling performance as Homelander. With four thrilling episodes out, the recently dropped teaser of Episode 5 hinting at a major crossover event with the spin-off series Gen V. We see characters Sam and Cate, played by Asa Germann and Maddie Philips, joining forces with The Seven in a surprising turn of events.

The action gets even crazier with the introduction of superpowered sheep! Injected with Compound V or Temporary V, these barnyard beasts take flight with a bloodthirsty hunger.  The trailer also throws some playful shade at the MCU, with The Deep promoting the upcoming phases of the Vought Cinematic Universe (VCU) as well as the V52 expo. The Boys has always been a commentary on society with a satirical edge, a core element of the show since its inception.

While the show’s creator Eric Kripke has promised occasional cameos from both the universes, he has admitted that there won’t be any full-on team up between the two. He maintained the need to build both shows as existing in the same universe, but he's cautious not to give fans "required reading" just to keep up with an overarching story. "I like the idea that there's strands and Easter eggs that kind of pop back and forth, but full team up — no," he asserted. "I live in total fear of this notion that you have to watch both of them to understand the other one."

With a 21% rise in viewership from the last season with just three episodes, fans and viewers are hooked to any glimpses that the creators provide of the upcoming episodes. Catch up on the first four episodes of Season 4 now streaming on Prime Video, and get ready for the exciting Gen V crossover and more explosive action in Episode 5 of The Boys, premiering this Thursday in English with dubs in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam!
