Have maxi dresses become the new ‘go-to’ wear?

MUMBAI: A lot of girls and women now prefer wearing long gowns as an alternative fashion trend. Whether it is a luncheon, a movie outing with friends or Saturday night clubbing escapades, women are growing fond of the lengthy gowns as they not only make one look leaner but also more feminine and chic.

We recently came across a picture of Kangana Ranaut setting a perfect example of carrying a flowy dress and we must say she looks simply flawless in the mixed print off shoulder dress. Clad in comfortable white tube maxi dress fedora hat, multicolored florals and ruffle details, she seems to carry herself comfortably in the strapless wear.

Setting another example of the ‘in-vouge’ gowns is the Veere Di Wedding actress, Sonam Kapoor. The diva is known for her fashion sense and she elevates her simple yet classy go-wear with a Bohemian look and a long neckpiece. The dress looks not only very comfortable but also an ‘all-time’ wear when you can’t find your perfect choice in your wardrobe. Take a look at the two actresses slaying the trend:

Nelson Jaffery, Design Head - Birla Cellulose shared his views on the growing inclination towards this trend. He stated, “The dynamic fashion industry of Bollywood has proved to be a magnificent platform for emerging style and fabrics. A fashionable person is someone who picks up what is relevant irrespective of whether it is in fashion or not. LIVA being breathable and comfortable aids in providing the fashion fraternity with a sense of ease with its comfy yet chic clothing in their super hectic schedule. This imprint gives more visibility, citing high features by creating fashion statements among the youth.”
