The stylish diva made her debut in blockbuster Dangal where she played the role of a wrestler. She shot for the movie in Punjab, and for her next film Patakaha, Sanya travelled to Rajashtan. The actress was so dedicated to the craft that she lived in the hut with the real residents of the place. She also learned to perform daily routines like cooking on the gas fire and fetching water from well.
Later, the actress got the opportunity to travel to Chambal for her film Photograph. She received a lot of appreciation from the audience for her performance in the film.
Sanya Malhotra recently wrapped up shooting for her upcoming film with director Anurag Basu. The untitled film was extensively shot in Bhopal. Sanya has just started shooting for another project titled Pagglait and currently is in Lucknow to shoot for the movie.
