It’s amazing when actors keep their professionalism in the forefront and not get consumed by petty issues. Even if it involves turbulent relationships, heartbreaks and passionate love affairs. We take a look at five ex-couples who came together for the sake of movies…read on:
Ranbir Kapoor-Katrina Kaif:
The Kapoor scion and Bollywood Barbie doll may have called it quits after living-in together for a while, but that hasn't stopped the duo fork working hard on Jagga Jaasoos. Since the movie went on floors, it's courted controversies, with the lead pair's breakup being the final nail in the coffin. Will the movie ever see the light of the day? We hope so.
Kareena Kapoor Khan-Shahid Kapoor:
They were an item for a while, before going their separate routes during the last leg of their careers' blockbuster hit Jab We Met. Despite the turmoil in their personal lives, they collaborated to finish the movie and even shared a passionate reel kiss! Bebo and Sasha-happily married to Saif Ali Khan and Mira Rajput, respectively- are making a comeback in Udta Punjab. Although they aren't paired opposite each other, they are seen as cordial and extremely professional during the promotional events.
Ranbir Kapoor-Deepika Padukone:
After their high-profile split, nobody expected the two even be on talking terms. But the thorough professionals that they are, they came together for the blockbuster hit Yeh Jawani Hai Deewani. Their easy chemistry, envious friendship, coupled with BO success is said to have caused a major fight between Ranbir and his then-girlfriend Katrina.
Anushka Sharma-Ranveer Singh:
There were strong rumours about Ranveer, then a debutant, dating his first co-star Anushka Sharma. Their natural screen presence was milked for their second outing Ladies v/s Ricky Bahl, which flopped at the box office. Anushka apparently walked out of the relationship due to the debacle. It's a different story altogether that Ranveer fell for Deepika Padukone and Anushka entered an on-off relationship with Virat Kohli. But these changes in dynamics didn't stop them from starring opposite each other in Dil Dhadakne Do.
Shilpa Shetty Kundra- Akshay Kumar:
Before Akki became one of the most bankable actors of Bollywood, he was an out and out playboy. So much so that while dating Shilpa Shetty, he allegedly cheated on her with her good friend and his now-wife Twinkle Khanna. The two actors didn't let such things come in the way of their B-Town journey, as they played each other's romantic interest in the musical blockbuster Dhadkan.
Interesting, isn't it?
