After Maharashtra, MP government waives entertainment tax on Bhaag Milkha Bhaag

Bhaag Milkha Bhaag
Following Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh has become the second state that has exempted Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra’s Bhaag Milkha Bhaag from Entertainment tax. This was announced by the state Chief Minister, Shivraj Singh Chouhan. “After a long time, there has come a film which is full of patriotic feelings and hence the government has decided to make it tax free," said Chouhan in a statement. Bhaag Milkha Bhaag is a biopic on the legendary Indian athlete Milkha Singh played by Bollywood filmmaker-actor Farhan Akhtar. Biopics have always received a good response from film buffs. Way back in 1946, V Shantaram’s black and white film Dr Kotnis Ki Amar Kahani was a super hit. Later, films on leaders such as Sardar Patel, Subhash Chandra Bose and Mangal Pandey were also received well by the audience.
