Akshay Kumar reveals not being paid by some producers; says, ‘cheating is common…’

MUMBAI : The last few years have seen Akshay Kumar go on a binge with back-to-back releases. He is the only actor from the nineties who continues to have several film releases in a single year. Thus far this year, Akshay has acted in two films: Sarfira and Bade Miyan Chote Miyan. Sarfira, his most recent release, debuted in theaters on July 12, 2024. Even with favorable reviews, the movie's box office performance was lackluster. Considering Akshay's lengthy career and three decades in the business, one may think that everything is going well for him. But as his most recent interview shows, that's not the case.

The Phir Hera Pheri actor was questioned if he has ever been duped in the movie business in a recent interview. Because certain producers did not provide him the money he was owed, Akshay disclosed that he had been the victim of cheating. In a recent interview, Akshay Kumar revealed that lying is a frequent occurrence. He doesn't communicate with people that defraud him of money. He remains silent and moves away from the individual. According to the BMCM star, there are certain producers who still owe him money, and that is considered cheating.

The disclosure from Akshay Kumar follows his recent discussion of his run of failures over the previous few years. Even though there have been several releases, the majority have not brought in a sizable sum of money. During the interview, the Housefull actor revealed that he gets saddened and affected when a movie doesn't work. Every movie, Kumar continued, is the result of a great deal of blood, sweat, and devotion. Still, he finds that his regimented approach keeps him focused and productive.

On the work front, Akshat was last seen in Sarfira and will be seen in Singham Again.
