MUMBAI: Pooja Bedi's daughter Alaya F is one of the most well-liked actresses in the youth. She is renowned for giving candid, unvarnished feedback on her experiences working in the film industry, and she frequently discusses her family's history in the industry in various interviews. Alaya recently discussed her thoughts on actors charging hefty fees in an interview with the popular news portal.

The controversy around whether actors should demand a hefty pay of around 100 crore INR when their film fails was sparked by the box office failure of Alaya F's previous film, Bade Miyan Chote Miyan. Actors receive substantial pay for their performances and for drawing in crowds thanks to their fame. However, when the film fails to earn money back, the amount is considered by viewers as excessive.

Alaya F shared her opinion on the extra expenses an actor spends to sustain a career in the film industry, she said, “Everything is getting so expensive. I am not talking about luxury expenses, I am talking about career expenses. At the start of every day, there is a hair person, there is a makeup person, there’s a photographer and a stylist – this is already four people who are getting paid for just putting me into this look. Not talking PR, which costs money.”

Alaya shared how actors must spend a lot of money daily for multiple expenses. They must pay for PR, media space, styling, and more. Likewise, going to events are costly affair for actors too. She was quoted saying, “I don’t know if I should talk about it but pap spotting also… everything costs money and not just a small chunk of money, these things cost a lot of money. And when you are doing these things on a regular basis like getting ready. For instance, if I have six events to attend in a month, I am paying six times that money to go to these events.”

Alaya is still struggling for equal respect in the industry even after giving a critical and commercial hit for four years. Alaya was asked what one change she would want to see in the Hindi cinema industry during a talk with Puja Talwar. In response, Alaya stated she would not argue for the same lavish amenities or salary as some other well-known celebrities. However, she believes that in Bollywood, everyone should be treated equally and demand equal respect.

Alaya is presently celebrating the release of Srikanth, her most recent movie. She portrayed Rajkummar Rao's romantic interest in the movie. The life of visually impaired industrialist Srikanth Bolla serves as the inspiration for the movie.
