MUMBAI : Amitabh Bachchan frequently uses social media to express his gratitude to his parents, Teji and Harivash Rai Bachchan, for their support. The actor writes a daily blog, and in his most recent post, he discussed how a person's parents shape their lives and influence us even after they pass away.
Amitabh Bachchan wrote, “Our parents and their parenting becomes our lives .. we refer to them at each step… ‘What would my parents have done in any/this/that/whatever situation?’ And the solution stares in your face…” “Blessed we are, that they, our parents, live among us in their blessings and love… I never keep them too far away from me… or any situation,” the actor added.
Teji Harivash Rai Srivastava Bachchan, the late mother of the veteran actor, was born on August 12, 1914, and she died on December 21, 2007. In Lahore before independence, Teji Bachchan taught psychology in addition to being a social activist. She gave birth to two sons: Amitabh and Ajitabh Bachchan with Harivansh Rai Bachchan.
Harivash Rai Bachchan, his late father, is a well-known figure in Hindi literature. He belonged to the early 20th-century Nayi Kavita literary movement as a poet and writer. He was born on November 27, 1907, and died on January 18, 2003, at the age of 95.
Amitabh Bachchan is busy shooting Kaun Banega Crorepati 16 in the meantime. In his blog, he writes, “The story of the day is a story .. each day brings different channels of opportunities and resolves .. of the fight to do your best .. of the desire to be able to deliver what you have been employed for .. and to be able to live up to the expectations of the audience, the janta janardan, who are ever respected as godly beings…”
“Each day there is the test, the examination, the effort to be able to accept their likes and dislikes and make efforts to improve on them .. for likes and dislikes change rapidly .. as rapidly as they make you rise, equally rapidly they bring you down…Alright, enough of the obvious… but never take the obvious for granted .. their grant is the grant that desires respect .. an integrity that lives after you even,” he added.
In addition to hosting KBC 16, Amitabh Bachchan continued to receive accolades for his role alongside Prabhas, Deepika Padukone, and Kamal Haasan in Nag Ashwin's Kalki 2898 AD.
