MUMBAI : Bollywood actor Anupam Kher recently became the victim of an office theft. On Thursday, June 20, 2024, he uploaded a video to his X platform demonstrating the break-in at his workplace on Veera Desai Road in Mumbai. They stole money and film negatives from a safe. Two guys have been taken into custody by the Mumbai Police about the theft, according to current developments.

Majid Sheikh and Muhammad Daler Bahrim Khan were arrested for the offense, according to a tweet from the news agency. Cash valued at Rs 4.15 lakh was reportedly taken from Anupam Kher's office, according to the police.
“Mumbai: Two people – Majid Sheikh and Mohammad Daler Bahrim Khan – arrested by Oshiwara Police for committing theft at the office of actor Anupam Kher. Both of them are serial thieves and commit thefts in different areas of the city,” ANI’s tweet read.

Two unidentified persons broke into the office of Bollywood actor Anupam Kher and stole the negatives of a film produced by his company and Rs 4.15 lakh in cash, police said on Thursday. The incident took place on Wednesday night at the actor’s office on Vira Desai Road in Amboli area, said an official. It came to light around 9.45 on Thursday morning when the office staff arrived and found the locks broken, he said.
Kher described the event in posts on his official Instagram profile and X handle. “Last night in my Veera Desai Road office two thieves broke two doors and stole the entire safe from the accounts department (which they probably couldn’t break) and the negatives of a film produced by our company which was in a box. Our office has filed an FIR,” Without naming the movie whose negatives were taken, the actor wrote in Hindi.
The two individuals were seen departing in an auto rickshaw, according to CCTV footage captured outside the building. Kher continued, "May God give them good sense (sad-buddhi)." As previously stated by the police officer, the First Information Report was filed at the Amboli police station by the applicable sections of the Indian Penal Code, and an investigation was in progress.
