After way too many speculations and stories in the media, Arbaaz Khan has finally admitted to being separated from his wife Malaika Arora to a leading site.
When the estranged couple was spotted together recently, there were rumours that they were working on their marriage.
But that sure doesn’t seem to be the case, well as per Arbaaz at least. He told a leading daily recently, “At this point of time we (Malaika and I) are not together, we are separated, and that's about it.”
He also spoke about the hit Dabangg franchise, which shot Salman into super stardom and made a fine director out of Arbaaz.
While elaborating on the upcoming sequel that’s set to roll by the end of next year, he told the site, “If you want to keep a franchise going, you just can't keep coming every two years, you have to deliver too. Even the Munnabhais and Golmaals arrive after a gap, every franchise needs breathing space. Someone's role increases, someone else's reduces, you can't repeat stuff.”
Considering all three brothers have their own production houses and unique movies being churned out from their stables, Arbaaz was asked to comment on it.
Replying to the site, he said, “All three of us want to tell different stories. Maybe I wouldn't be confident producing a Freaky Ali even though I like it. Ditto Hello Brother and Pyaar Kiya Toh Darna Kya. Sohail made them, maybe I wouldn't. If we worked under one banner there would have been a lot of resistance. Sometimes you have to back your own vision.”
Obviously, the director-producer was asked by the site about brother Salman’s nuptial rumours with Romanian beauty Lulia Vantur. "We've been hearing about his marriage since his first year in films, he'll get married when he has to,” he replied to the daily.
