MUMBAI: Debutant Aroh Welankar has left no stone unturned in his portrayal of Kartik Aaryan's son in the highly anticipated film Chandu Champion, directed by Kabir Khan. Aroh's commitment to his character Arjun, is evident in his willingness to immerse himself completely, even if it means getting covered in dust and dirt for authenticity.
Speaking about his experience, Aroh shared, "This was, I think, my second or third day on the shoot. We were in Wai, Maharashtra, which was one of the most beautiful locations I've ever shot in. We had created an under-construction road there, so we were facing extremely tough shooting conditions. There was a lot of harsh sunlight, a lot of junior artists, and a lot of dust and dirt. Despite that, we shot there for two days, and it was a really nice experience. I believe this was the first time I had a lot of interaction with Kabir Khan sir and Sudeep Chatterjee sir. Sudeep sir, who is one of the finest DOPs in India currently, happened to see my first film, Rege. He had also worked on the film Thackeray, directed by Abhijit Panse, who directed Rege. So, it was a big hit, and Sudeep sir recognized me. We had a lot of interesting chats that day."
He further elaborated, "Kabir sir was personally very happy with my work. Even the makeup took a lot of time to create the look; I was covered in dust and dirt from head to toe, but it was a fun experience."
Directed by renowned filmmaker Kabir Khan, Chandu Champion promises to be a captivating story of determination and resilience. The film boasts a talented cast, including Kartik Aaryan and Aroh Welankar, who are set to deliver performances that will resonate with audiences.
