Ram-Leela still continues to be in news thanks to the on-going legal tussle between an advocate and the movie's makers.
The advocate Sudhir Kumar Ojha had lodged an FIR in a Bareilly court in November, last year for hurting religious sentiments of Hindus. But nothing happened save for the minor change in the title of the movie, Ram-Leela went ahead and released as per schedule on 15th November and Sanjay Leela Bhansali & Co stood victorious then.
In yet another breather, a Division Bench of Allahabad High Court, passed an order staying the arrest of the actors and director. It may be recalled that in response to Adv. Sudhir's complaint arrest warrants were issued against the actors, director and producers on 2 May and the same was stayed today.
Today's HC order does vindicate Sanjay Leela Bhansali & Co for having made a class product minus any hatred. The only worrying factor though is that the case has not been closed yet.
Let's see how the case progresses in future.
