MUMBAI : Earlier this year, legendary filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali surprised everyone by announcing his next cinematic spectacle, ‘Love & War’. The filmmaker has got the biggest casting coup on board with Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, and Vicky Kaushal. He also unveiled a title poster that features the handwritten signature of the lead cast. The project also marks Rambir and SLB’s reunion after almost 17 years since the former’s debut film, Sawaariya.

Today, Ranbir was spotted outside Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s office for a meeting. He even sported a clean-shaven look and was seen carrying a script with him. The actor kept it comfy and casual in a blue co-ord set, flashed his million dollar smile while waving at the paparazzi.

Ever since Sanjay Leela Bhansali made the grand announcement of the epic saga, the excitement among the masses has been palpable, and they’re excited to watch the film, which is announced for a grand theatrical release on Christmas 2025.

A report had earlier stated that Ranbir had placed a few terms and conditions before signing the film. According to a Bollywood Hungama report, Ranbir has drawn out a very’specific’ contract, detailing his terms for the project.

One of the conditions Ranbir placed was about the timeline of the project. Ranbir wants the film to be wrapped in the assigned timeline because he has other projects scheduled after Love and War. “Ranbir has asked Sanjay Leela Bhansali to stick to the timelines of the shoot. The maker has promised to take the film to the floors in November and wrap it by July 2025. Ranbir has other commitments from August 2025, so he has requested SLB to wrap up the film on time,” the source told the publication.

“The other condition is to have fixed working hours. During Sawaariya, RK was subject to erratic work timing, and he doesn’t want the episode to repeat again in 2024. The last condition is to ensure proper discipline on the set in all departments,” the grapevine added.

The insider also said that Ranbir and Bhansali’s collaboration happened courtesy of Alia. “She brought them together and asked the two mature individuals to put all the terms and conditions on the table in the meeting,” the source said. News18 couldn’t verify these claims at the time of reporting.

Love and War is slated to release on Christmas 2025. The news of the film was first shared by Kaushal on Instagram. The post featured the announcement along with Kaushal, Bhatt, and Kapoor’s signatures. Sharing the post, Vicky wrote, “An eternal cinema dream has come true. ❤️✨ #SanjayLeelaBhansali #RanbirKapoor @aliaabhatt @prerna_singh6 @bhansaliproductions #LOVEandWAR.”
