MUMBAI: Prabhas, Kriti Sanon, and Saif Ali Khan starrer Adipurush was one of the most awaited films of 2023. But, after the teaser was released a few weeks ago, things changed and the movie was trolled a lot. Moviegoers were not happy with the teaser as the VFX didn’t impress them. They stated that the movie looked like a video game and the characters were too amateurish.
Director Om Raut had claimed that the movie is made for big screens and that’s why people didn’t like the teaser when they watched it on their mobile phones. A few days ago, there were reports that Adipurush will be postponed, and today, finally the makers have confirmed that news and shared the new release date of the film.

Raut has shared a note which read, “Adipurush is not a film, but a representation of our devotion to Prabhu Shri Ram and commitment towards our sanskriti and history. In order to give a complete visual experience to the viewers, we need to give more time to the teams working on the film.”
“We are committed to making a film that India will be proud of. Your support, love and blessings is what keeps us going,” the note further read.
Adipurush, which was slated to release on 12th January 2023, will now hit the big screens on 16th June 2023. Netizens have reacted to the postponement and while some have stated that it’s a good decision, some have tweeted that after the delay they hope that the movie won’t disappoint. For now, Adipurush is getting a solo release on 16th June 2023. But, let’s see if any other film will clash with it in the coming months.
