The organizers of the 13th edition of Mumbai International Film festival (MIFF) for documentary, short and animation films are gearing up to set the festival rolling from 3 February next year.
"MIFF has an enormous goodwill among independent documentary and short film makers and the 13th edition has been reoriented in tandem with the stakeholders," said Director General, Films Division and Director, MIFF, VS Kundu in an official statement.
The oldest and largest international film festival for the non-feature and animation films in Asia, MIFF-2014 brings a lot of valuable content for filmmakers and cinema lovers.
This year, a veteran Indian documentary filmmaker will be honoured with V Shantaram Lifetime Achievement Award.
The festival will also pay tribute to the acclaimed documentary filmmaker Peter Wintonick who passed away on 18 November 18, this year.
Organized by Films Division, Government of India, and Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, the weeklong film extravaganza will be held at the National Centre for Performing Arts (NCPA).
