MUMBAI: In the SSR case, we see many names of Bollywood A-lister actresses came ahead, and one of them is Deepika Padukone, the actress was also summoned for questioning by the NCB on September 26, recorded her statement. Now, according to a report, the Chhapaak actress who was questioned broke down thrice during her interrogation that was conducted by the agency. 

As per a news report by India Today, Deepika Padukone cried when being questioned by the NCB. The report stated that the actress broke down three times, during her interrogation by the agency. According to the report, the Narcotics Control Bureau officials are looking to widen the scope of their investigation by looking at the bigger drug peddler who has links with the film industry. Meanwhile, as Deepika Padukone was interrogated yesterday, apart from her, Sara Ali Khan, Shraddha Kapoor, and others also were questioned by the NCB.

The report also stated that MA Jain, Deputy Director-General of NCB, mentioned that the statements that were recorded during the questioning will be submitted in the court. According to the report, the Deputy Director-General of NCB was quoted stating that around 18-19 people have been arrested in connection to the drugs angle that the agency is currently investigating in the SSR death case. 

Currently, not only the NCB but also the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) is investigating actor Sushant Singh Rajput’s death case. So far, the NCB has arrested SSR’s girlfriend Rhea Chakraborty, her brother Showik Chakraborty, and a few others in connection to the drugs angle in the actor’s death case.
