MUMBAI : For the past few days, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Abhishek Bachchan have been the talk of the town. The Ambani wedding served as the turning point for it all, since the pair failed to show up for the ceremony together. Abhishek stood for photos with Shweta Bachchan, Navya, Agastya Nanda, and his parents, Amitabh and Jaya Bachchan.
On the other hand, Aishwarya brought her daughter Aaradhya Bachchan along to the wedding. Many began to wonder if Aish and Abhi were having problems. The actor from Manmarziyaan later liked an Instagram picture about being divorced, which fuelled suspicions that the marriage was going through a difficult time.
Amidst all this, we will tell you about Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Abhishek Bachchan's very first meeting back in the late 1990s. The duo first met for dinner when Aishwarya was shooting for the film Aur Pyaar Ho Gaya.
At that time, the Dus actor had returned from his college in Boston. The filming was taking place in Switzerland, and Abhishek was there with the production team of Mrityudaata, which stars Amitabh Bachchan.
On The Ranveer Show, Abhishek Bachchan shared interesting details about his and Aishwarya's first meeting. The Dhoom actor said that Bobby Deol, who was also a part of Aur Pyaar Ho Gaya, invited him for dinner with him and Aishwarya. It was the actress' first Hindi movie and also the first time Abhishek interacted with her.
According to Abhishek Bachchan, whenever Jodha Akbar recalls their first meet she always claims that she didn't understand a word he said.
When Abhishek moved to Boston as a young man from an international boarding school, he had a strong accent. Junior B added that he has been studying in Europe since he was nine years old, and at his school, everything about theatre, acting, and the movies was in English.
Aishwarya and Abhishek collaborated on their debut film, Dhai Akshar Prem Ke (2000). Later, the pair appeared in other films together, including Raavan, Guru, Umrao Jaan, Sarkar Raj, and Kuch Naa Kaho. Aaradhya Bachchan is their daughter; they got married on April 20, 2007.
