MUMBAI: Hera Pheri is one of the most famous comedy franchises in the film industry. The first part was released in the year 2000 and it was a blockbuster hit.
The trio of Paresh Rawal, Akshay Kumar, and Sunil Shetty was loved by the audiences. Even though it’s a remake of a South movie, the fans loved the film, and today it’s considered a cult movie.
Part two of the movie Phir Hera Pheri hit cinema halls in the year 2006, and that was a blockbuster hit as well. It was a continuation of Part one, which was directed by late director Neeraj Vora, and was produced by Firoz A. Nadiadwala, whereas Part one was directed by Priyadarshan.
A few months ago, Akshay Kumar and Sunil Shetty hinted that the third instalment of the movie will be filmed soon, and fans will get to see part three.
Initially, the movie was supposed to be directed by Neeraj Vora, but the director passed away, and hence the film will now be directed by the original director, Priyadarshan.
Abhishek Bachchan was originally signed on for the movie, but due to some reason, he is no longer a part of it.
