MUMBAI: Global superstar Priyanka Chopra produced the most current documentary on Prime Video called WOMB (Women of My Billion), recently talked about the subject of the film and went into detail about how she wants her own daughter Malti Marie to feel secure in her company. This documentary tells the true story of Srishti Bakshi, a women’s right advocate and activist who traveled about 3,800 miles by foot from Kashmir to Kanyamuri, meeting and recording the experiences of various women of all ages.
Priyanka is an ardent supporter of women's empowerment, not only lends her voice to good causes but also lives the equality motto in her daily life. What it meant to be a mother and the one piece of advice Priyanka would give her daughter Malti were discussed in an interview with the popular news portal.
Priyanka said, “I think children are not born to us, they are born through us to have their own lives. And that's how my parents raised me and my mom raised me. And, you know, she always said that I'm your safe space. That's what I want to be for Malti, her safe space, and let her do whatever she wants.”
The actress continued she hoped the documentary WOMB would have a widespread impact and have a butterfly effect, “I feel like people in position and power have that privilege to become spokespersons. I think these are hard stories to see and watch. But these are also stories of hope. And I hope that when you are browsing your OTT platform and wondering what to watch, you come across this title and decide to give it a chance. And it is a hard watch because you're talking about violence against women, but you see these survivors and you come out of it feeling like I can do anything. Because if they can do that, we can too.”
