Veteran Hollywood actor Harrison Ford was injured after his vintage World War 2 plane crashed into a golf course in Los Angeles.
The actor's plane developed a technical snag wherein the engines failed due to which he had to make an emergency landing on the Venice golf course. Harrison who is known to be an expert pilot maneuvered his plane well enough however the impact of the crash left his plane completely damaged and him injured badly.
Luckily the Star Wars actor was still breathing and conscious when the medics arrived and his vitals were described to be healthy while he was being wheeled into the ambulance.
Harrison relayed an engine failure to Santa Monica Airport control tower just moments after taking off. The actor requested an emergency return to the airport however that would have meant precious loss of time. Harrison was praised by aviation experts for having crashed his plane away from crowded suburbs which would have resulted in greater human casualties.
Meanwhile, Harrison is reported to be making good recovery in hospital. His son Ben tweeted, "At the hospital. Dad is ok. Battered but ok! He is every bit the man you would think he is."
Here's wishing Harrison a healthy and quick recovery.
