MUMBAI: Many Bollywood movies and shooting were suffered because of the pandemic and lockdown all over the country, after a long halt, the theatres in some cities of the country have decided to raise the curtain for all the movie buffs. Reportedly, the theatres are set to open on October 16 and with that, moviegoers are pretty psyched to see the movies in the theatres. Many of the makers have opted for OTT platform in this pandemic, however, the makers of Akshay Kumar and Katrina Kaif's Sooryavanshi and Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone's '83 have shifted its release date. Even though there were rumours of these films which are backed by Reliance Entertainment were going to have a digital release instead of theatrical, nothing was confirmed. Amidst this, a report in Mumbai Mirror suggests that Sooryvanshi to arrive next year whereas '83 to stick to Christmas release.

As the theatres are set to open soon, the makers of the film have asserted that Sooryavanshi will make it to 2021 and sports drama will release as slated. Shibasish Sarkar, CEO, Reliance Entertainment was quoted saying to the portal, "We definitely don’t want to change the date of ’83 for Sooryavanshi. The sports drama is still slated to release on Christmas. We have to decide on the new date of Sooryavanshi with the director and actor, but the film should release between January and March." However, with theatres reopening and two mega-films hitting the big screens is quite a big thing for all the movie buffs who were eagerly waiting to hit the cinemas soon.
Meanwhile, just recently, Ishaan Khatter and Ananya Pandya's Khaali Peeli which was released on Zee Plex is said to be released in Theatres as well after the reopening of cinemas. The same report also suggests that Akshay Kumar and Kiara Advani's Laxmmi Bomb which is also scheduled to release on November 8 on Disney+ Hotstar VIP will be released in theatres too.
