Jasleen Royal recently released her song ‘Assi Sajna’ which became a hit with 5.3 million views in just 2 weeks.

In an exclusive interview with TellyChakkar, Jasleen Royal revealed how the song came into existence and also opened up about the theme of the music video and locations.

When asked about how the song came into existence, Jasleen Royal said, “We were sitting right here when it came to me and it came to me like last year. Me, Aditya Sharma who is the lyricist and INTENSE who is the music producer. We were just like having fun, looking out the window and it was June of last year. We were just thinking like life is so good and let us make a nice happy song. One thing led to another and we just came up with that song and we always felt that this was a summer song and woh banate banate we just felt like we were just loving life, making that song and just enjoying a cup of coffee and some jokes and all of that. We were just making plans key aha travel karenge waha travel karenge who karte karte aisa song bana and that’s the core of it.”

When asked about the locations seen in the music video and how the theme of the music video popped up, Jasleen Royal said, “We always felt that it was a perfect summer song, travel song and everything. All the credit goes to my director Shariq. He has directed the video. He has come up with the concept and he just made whatever he felt listening to the song and it was his idea let’s go to Bangkok and shoot it, it’ll be cool, let’s make it trendy and we’ll just have fun so that’s how it happened and we went to Goa, we shot some bits in Goa and then we went to Bangkok. It sounds like these are all party destinations but we were working. It was a lot of fun.”
