MUMBAI: Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant tied the knot in a lavish ceremony that featured a number of the greatest stars from Hollywood and Bollywood at the Jio World Centre on July 12.
One of the event's many highlights was a video that went viral on social media showing Shah Rukh Khan giving John Cena a big hug. Subsequently, John Cena also shared a touching message on meeting SRK on social media. Now, during his lowest moment, John talked about how SRK "changed" his life in a recent conversation.

Speaking to the news agency about his meeting with Shah Rukh Khan at Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant's wedding, John Cena said, “He did a Ted Talk that found me at the right time in life and his words were beyond inspirational to me. They helped orchestrate a change in my life and since that change, gosh, my life is… I’ve been able to recognize all the jackpots I’ve been given and be grateful and work hard to make sure that I don’t waste them. It was such an emotional moment to be able to shake a person’s hand that affects your life so drastically and tell them specifically what they did. Shah Rukh Khan was amazing. He couldn’t have been more empathetic and kinder. It was wonderful. I was awestruck, starstruck. It was fantastic.”
Taking to his X (formerly Twitter) handle after the Ambani wedding, John Cena had shared a picture of him posing with Shah Rukh Khan and penned a heartfelt note for the Dunki actor. It read, “A surreal 24 hours. So grateful for the Ambani family for their unmatched warmth and hospitality.”
“An experience filled with so many unforgettable moments which allowed me to connect with countless new friends, including meeting @iamsrk and being able to tell him personally the positive effect he has had on my life,” he added.
Concurrently, one of the most talked-about occasions of the year has been the marriage of Anant Ambani, the youngest child of Chairman of Reliance Industries Limited, and Radhika Merchant, the daughter of business tycoon Viren Merchant. The festivities began at Antilia, the Ambani residence, which had been elegantly decorated to greet Radhika as a new member of the family.
Priyanka Chopra, Nick Jonas, Ram Charan, Kim Kardashian, Khloe Kardashian, Jay Y. Lee, the Executive Chairman of Samsung Electronics, and former UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson were just a few of the celebrities who attended. By sharing photos of her gracious reception at Taj Colaba on Instagram, Kim Kardashian increased the excitement around the occasion.
