If the pandemic wasn't enough, in nearly a matter of some months, our entertainment industry mourned the loss of some of the biggest television celebrities. Irrfan Khan, Rishi Kapoor, Sushant Singh Rajput have been a few names and today, the world woke up choked with the news of vetran Bollywood choreographer Saroj Khan being no more.
The three-time National Award winning choreographer Saroj Khan breathed her last on Friday morning. She was laid to rest in a cemetery in Malad, Mumbai by her family at 7 am.

Saroj died of cardiac arrest and was unwell for quite some time. She was admitted to Guru Nanak Hospital in Bandra last Saturday after she complained of breathing issues. She had tested negative for Covid-19. “She passed away due to cardiac arrest at around 2.30 am at the hospital,” Khan’s nephew Manish Jagwani told PTI.
Saroj’s daughter Sukaina Khan told PTI, “We buried her at around 7 am. The prayer meeting will be held after three days.”
Soon after Saroj Khan’s demise, Bollywood stars namely Amitabh Bachchan, Madhuri Dixit, Jacqueline Fernandes, Bhumi Pednekar among others took to social media to pay respect for the choreographer as they mourned her demise.
In a career spanning over four decades, Khan, who was known as 'Masterji', choreographed more than 2,000 songs. Khan’s best work was with actors Sridevi and Madhuri Dixit, the prominent dancing stars of the 80's and 90's.
