MUMBAI: Many Bollywood celebrities have come forward to support government in its fight against Coronavirus and Shah Rukh Khan is one of them.
Shah Rukh Khan became the first B-Town actor to open his four-storeyed office for treating COVID-19 patients. Not just that, SRK’s group of companies Kolkata Knight Riders, Red Chillies Entertainment, Meer Foundation, and Red Chillies VFX announced several initiatives to support the efforts of Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi and the government in its COVID-19 fight.
Now, West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee thanked Shah Rukh Khan for his donations, and tweeted, “Thank you @iamsrk, your contribution will help assist a lot of distressed people during these challenging times. Such humane benefaction will keep inspiring millions in this country who look up to you as their role model with respect and reverence.” In reply to this tweet, Shah Rukh Khan once again resorted to a regional language- Bengali, to reply. He also quoted Rabindranath Tagore, and wrote, “Aami Kolkata, we believe... I slept and dreamt that life was joy. I awoke and saw that life was service. I acted and behold, service was joy. - Rabindranath Tagore."
Take a look.
