MUMBAI : Actor Pranjal Pateriya who hails from Gwalior got a dose of stardom with Laapataa Ladies. The film made a considerable impact not only at the box office but enthralled critics and audiences alike. While Nitanshi Goel and Pratibha Ranta have secured legit star status in tinsel town, the character actors of the film are als revelling in the success of it. Pranjal Pateriya who essayed the role of Raghu open up about his experience working with Kiran Rao and meeting Aamir Khan

Speaking about a moment from Laapataa Ladies that he cherishes, Pranjal said, “Having the opportunity to meet Aamir Khan sir was an incredible and unexpected privilege that left a lasting impression on me. It is a career high. His presence reminded me of the reason for being in this industry. It is not just his star status or the aura that comes with it, his penchant for perfection is truly inspiring for every aspiring actor”.

On working with Kiran Rao, the actor said, "One memorable moment with Laapataa Ladies was a scene involving alcohol, for which Kiran Ma'am appreciated me. This film has truly felt like destiny unfolding, marking a profound turning point for me professionally. The appreciation has stayed with me and fuelled me to give my best for every inch of screen time I have been offered. Being new to the industry, working with Kiran ma'am has been a transformative experience. She is not only a remarkable director but also an incredibly kind and supportive individual and I would love to work with Kiran ma'am henceforth. Meeting her for the first time, I was both excited and nervous. However, her warm demeanour quickly put me at ease and within 15-20 minutes, my apprehensions vanished”.

Beyond the spotlight, Pranjal loves singing he says "I find solace in singing, Before I found my passion for theatre, I delved into cartooning and proudly competed twice in national baseball tournaments. My true passion lies in driving, I am deeply fascinated by it and aspire to one day race in Formula 1."

In a short while the actor has garnered a sizable filmography to his name, having worked in many OTT projects such as Vadh on Netflix, Pustak on Jio Cinema, Gullak Season 3, Minus 31: The Nagpur Files on Amazon Prime, Maamla Legal Hain on Netflix.  Currently his hands are full with exciting projects such as Nausikhiye, Dupahiya, a series on Prime, Bahrupiya, a film, Tapak a horror anthology and Civil Lines – a series on Sony Liv at various stages of production.
