MUMBAI: Ajay Kumar, popularly known as Guinness Pakru, holds the Guinness World Records for being the shortest actor to play a character in a full-length film. He played the lead role in Athbhutha Dweepu, a Malayalam movie directed by Vinayan. The movie was later dubbed in Tamil and Telugu versions.
The actor and others involved in the mishap were unhurt. The mishap happened near Thiruvalla. According to the actor, a truck coming from the opposite direction lost control and hit their car. As per reports, the mishap happened at Muzhuvangaduchira near the bypass in Thiruvalla. The truck hit the rear side of the actor’s car, but luckily none, including Guinness Pakru, and his driver were hurt.
Following the accident, Guinness Pakru switched to another car and resumed his journey. The actor was apparently travelling from Thiruvananthapuram to Kochi.
Guinness Pakru took to his social media handle, shared the same, and also confirmed that he is fine. “This morning... I met with a car accident in Thiruvalla. Not injured. A lorry coming from the opposite direction crashed out of control... I'm fine…,” the actor said. He also expressed gratitude to the people whose timely intervention helped him. He further stressed the importance of wearing a seat belt, which has apparently saved him from an unfortunate event or getting hurt.

Pakru became a director with the Malayalam movie Kutteem Kolum, in which he also played the lead role. He holds the Guinness World Record (2013) for being the shortest director in filmdom. The film starred Aditya, Sanusha, Laya, Munna, Suraj Venjaramoodu, Vijayaraghavan, and Ponnamma Babu. The camera was handled by Vinod Bharathi and music by Shaan Rahman.
