MUMBAI: No relationship is perfect. They say 'happily ever after' when one gets together forever but through the journey, there are days when you fight, cry but also love and wish to share every emotion with your only significant other no matter how hard the journey is.
Well, Rishi Kapoor and Neetu Kapoor's relationship was an example of the same. The two were rock solid together for 34 years. Their love story saw all the different shades of a love story, from being hopelessly in love, disagreeing on the silliest things, not talking to each other to embarking on a lifetime of togetherness.
In Rishi Kapoor's biography 'Khullam Khulla', Neetu has mentioned how she prefers 'Rishi Kapoor the husband' over 'Rishi Kapoor the boyfriend'.
When they were dating in the '70s, turns out Rishi would not just be possessive but also, super 'troublesome'. In her statement, Neetu has mentioned how he would make her cry every day, yet she would want to be with him and couldn't see anything beyond having a family with him.

Neetu agrees that it wasn't easy to know and understand Rishi Kapoor but she is grateful to have met someone as nice, genuine as him.
On the 4th of September (which is also Rishi Kapoor's 67th birth anniversary), in the memory of her 'Kapoor Saab', Neetu has penned a heartfelt note on Instagram. "I learnt a lot from Rishi Ji during our last few traumatic years in NYC .. how we celebrated when his blood counts were high .. we dined shopped laughed .. in his lows we just stayed home watched tv ordered in amazing food n still had some wonderful moments in hope that the next round of chemotherapy he would be better .. hope n being strong is what he taught me .. value each day .. we all miss him today !!! I can picture him how excited he would have been for his 69th birthday !! I’m sure he is celebrating with his family up there Happy birthday Kapoor Saab.", she wrote along with a beautiful picture.
