Pulkit Samrat postpones honeymoon

Actor Pulkit Sharma, who is all set to marry Salman Khan's rakhi sister, Shweta Rohira on 3 November, unfortunately won't be able to enjoy his honeymoon immediately after marriage. And creating a roadblock in his earlier conceived plans is the shoot of his upcoming film, Junooniyat opposite Yami Gautam. The film to be directed by Vivek Agnihotri is slated to go on floors a week after Pulkit's wedding. Although he had a week's time in hand, the makers of the film want Pulkit to take time out to prepare for his role which left poor Pulkit with no choice. Opting to be professional, Pulkit decided to postpone his honeymoon and start preparing for the role right after his wedding. Pulkit and other cast will be travelling to Mau in the Bhind district of Madhya Pradesh and since Bhind is not exactly a lovers' hotspot, Pulkit decided his honeymoon can wait. In the movie, Pulkit portrays the role of an army officer and director Vivek wants him to spend five days in Mau before they start shooting on 15 November in order to learn the body language and mannerisms of an army officer. Says Vivek, “We are often blamed for the inappropriate portrayal of army officers in our films. So, I felt Pulkit should go there to understand the army officers’ way of life. After his stay in Mau, he will head to Delhi for his reception. We will start shooting the film soon after.”
