Ranbir Kapoor to fly off to Russia to promote Yeh Jawaani...

Ranbir Kapoor
If Akshay Kumar can travel to Edgbaston, where Pakistan is to play India today in a match of the ongoing Champions Trophy, to promote his upcoming release Once Upon A Time In Mumbai Dobara, can Ranbir Kapoor be left behind? The Rockstar actor will soon head to Russia to promote his current film Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani (YJHD) that has become a rage in the country. The film is to release in Russia on 4 July. It is said that Ranbir will be there for three days before the release so that he has time to engage with the media and market the film. And if Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani can endear itself to the masses there, Ranbir would be the second Kapoor after his grandfather the late Raj Kapoor to be endeared by the Russians. Raj Kapoor was very popular in Russia having shot to fame and developed a fan following after his films like Awara, Shree 420 and Mera Naam Joker released in the country. According to reports, when Russia was in a war-torn condition way back in the ’50s, people there considered Kapoor’s films a beacon of hope. He is revered as an icon even today in Russia.
