MUMBAI: Is it easy to forget Nisha and Pooja's dance in Yash Chopra's hit movie Dil To Pagal Hai which was released in 1997? Madhuri Dixit as Pooja was graceful and dreamy while Karisma exuded a lot of charm as Nisha who had a lot of unconditional love, angst and boldness. The film was a love triangle between Shah Rukh, Karisma and Madhuri.
During an interview with ETimes, Karisma remembered about her reunion with Madhuri. It is interesting to note that the duo in Koi Ladki Hai had an amazing dance-off. The stunning actress said, "It was amazing and a lot of fun. MDji as I call her, is also a dear friend now. Growing up, I loved watching her movies and dance numbers. Ek Do Teen in Tezaab was my favourite track. Getting to work with her in DTPH itself was a big moment for me. Recreating the dance felt like we did it yesterday! We still remembered the steps and we laughed a lot".
Fans on social media have often recreated Pooja and Nisha's dance-off from Koi Ladki Hai which is very memorable. Karisma knows that the film and songs are popular from the movie. "I have seen those reels and I want to thank the fans. Recreating this iconic moment was special for me because she is someone I look up to".
Talking about the film, it was one of the most loved films of Yash Chopra and was his most celebrated work. Rahul played by SRK was the creative head of a dance group, whom Nisha loves madly. However, he has feelings for Pooja who is married to Ajay.
